New Carbon, energy and waste in a single tool

Measure and reduce your company's environmental impact, wherever you operate.

A complete, evolving view of your impact, built with your consultant rather than just another calculator. An internationally recognised method, emission factors suited to your country and costs expressed in your currency.

Every company gets its own isolated workspace, accessible only to its team and its consultant.

A documented method, aligned with recognised standards

Platform

Carbon, energy, waste: your whole impact in one tool.

Scoping, tracking, action: your entire environmental programme in one place, no spreadsheets.

  1. Scope

A 5-step scoping form: objective, company profile, areas to track (carbon, energy, waste), boundary and base year.

  2. Carbon footprint

Guided data entry for Scope 1 — mobile combustion, stationary combustion, refrigerants — and Scope 2 — electricity — following the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1.

  3. Energy

Your electricity, gas and fuel bills month after month, automatically compared with the previous year and translated into money: “your lower consumption saved you X”.

  4. Waste

Your waste collections, entered manually or imported from contractor reports: share of hazardous waste, recovery rate, cost per tonne and progress towards your targets.

Why CIRANIA

Figures the whole company understands

Every result keeps track of its source and emission factor, and every change is translated into the language of management: cost.

Every tonne is traceable

Documented
  1. Electricity bill

Consumption, period and amount entered in the energy module

  2. Main plant — site 02

Site linked to the footprint and the boundary set during scoping

  3. Country grid emission factor

Source, year, reliability and calculation method available

  4. Result in t CO₂e

Scope 2, IPCC AR6 GWP, intensity per employee

  5. Value locked at entry

A factor updated later does not change footprints already entered

Savings in your own currency

The energy dashboard compares each month with the same month last year and separates the effect of consumption from the effect of prices.

Clear results

Emissions by source and by site, intensity per employee, comparison with the previous footprint and a printable report.

Reduction advice

Practical actions tailored to your largest emission sources: lighting, compressors, fleet, heating.

Report import

CSV reports from your waste contractors are consolidated automatically, and the energy module feeds the carbon footprint.

Tracked targets

Emission reduction and waste recovery targets with progress tracking and automatic insights.

Carbon intensity of grid electricity g CO₂e / kWh
  • Mostly hydro or nuclear grid 30 – 100
  • Mixed grid with renewables 200 – 400
  • Mostly natural-gas grid 400 – 550
  • Mostly coal grid 700 – 1,000

×20 Orders of magnitude, for illustration. On the platform, every factor is sourced.

Your country

A universal method, local data

A reliable footprint relies on emission factors that match your reality. Depending on the country, the same kWh bought from the grid can emit up to twenty times more: a global average would completely distort your Scope 2.

  • Your country's electricity mix

The national grid factor, rather than a global average or another country's.

  • The units on your bills

Litres, m³, kWh or therms: you enter exactly what appears on your bills and fuel receipts.

  • Your currency

Energy costs, savings and waste costs expressed in your company's currency.

Factors from the CIRANIA library (IPCC 2006, IPCC AR6 GWP), each with its source, year and calculation method.

Hazardous waste tracked separately

Used oils, contaminated packaging, solvents: their share of your waste is tracked separately, with the licensed contractor and the consignment note for each collection, as most regulations require.

  • Grid electricity

National grid mix factor for Scope 2, with monthly tracking of consumption and billed amounts.

  • Fuels

Natural gas, diesel, petrol, LPG, butane and propane: in the units used on your bills and fuel receipts.

  • Costs in your currency

Every change in consumption translated into savings or extra costs, waste cost per tonne and per contractor.

  • Multi-site

Plants, head offices, warehouses and branches, with consolidated and per-site results.

  • Your consultant by your side

The consultant supports several companies, prepares the scoping with you and validates the data before results.

  • An evolving platform

Scope 3, English and Arabic interfaces and Excel export are on the roadmap.

Privacy

Your data stays yours

Every company has its own isolated workspace. Only your team and the consultant you appointed can access it, under a confidentiality agreement.

Isolated workspace

One company's data is never visible from another company.

Controlled access

Three distinct roles, accounts created by the administrator, login locked after repeated failures.

Documented method

Every emission factor states its source, year, reliability and calculation method.

Locked footprints

Factors are locked at the time of entry: a completed footprint does not change afterwards.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The essentials before you start. Your consultant answers methodology questions throughout the footprint.

What is CIRANIA?

CIRANIA is an online environmental management platform for SMEs. It brings together carbon accounting (Scopes 1 and 2), energy consumption and bill tracking, and waste management in a single tool. Every company is supported by a consultant, from scoping to results.

Which standards does the method follow?

The GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1, with IPCC 2006 default values and IPCC AR6 global warming potentials. Every emission factor states its source, year and reliability level.

Does CIRANIA work in my country?

The method is the same everywhere; what changes are the emission factors, starting with grid electricity. The CIRANIA team maintains them in the platform's factor library, each with its source. Write to us at contact@cirania.com or call +213 664 79 97 96 to check the data available for your country.

Which scopes are covered?

Scope 1 (vehicle fuel, boilers and generators, refrigerant leaks) and Scope 2 (purchased grid electricity). Scope 3 is currently handled by the consultant outside the tool and will be added to the platform.

Why are my customers asking for a carbon footprint?

Large groups, buyers and tenders increasingly ask suppliers for their emissions to build their own footprint, and some mechanisms such as the EU CBAM cover the emissions of imported goods. A documented Scope 1 and 2 footprint, with its factors and sources, is the basis for these answers.

Do I need to be a carbon accounting expert?

No. The scoping form asks the right questions, each entry screen explains the data expected, and your consultant supports you from scoping to results.

Who can see my company's data?

Your team members, the consultant you appointed and the platform administrator. Every company has its own isolated workspace.
